1) Good knowledge of gadgets and how to fix or get around problems people may be having with their gadgets.



To improve I intend to find out more about the latest gadgets and find out more about how to fix them.
Target goal to improve is to get even better at helping people with their gadget problems.

Action to improve is to 
  1. Get my name more out there so people will contact me in seeking help with their gadgets.
  2. I will speak to people who know more about fixing gadgets than me and gain knowledge from them.

I got the iPhone 5 and took it apart, this helped me find out more what it’s like.

I went to a local hardware store and spoke to the technician, I also put an ad on Facebook to help get my name more out there.

I have achieved a greater knowledge of gadgets, I did this by going down to my local hardware store and asking him a few questions.

Goal review:
My target goal to improve was to get even better at helping people with their gadget problems.  I have improved with the help of watching videos online and also speaking to people who have experience of this.  This is something that will be on-going as gadgets are getting more advanced and I will need to keep teaching myself.
2) I have  good guitar skills
I intend to improve on this by getting a guitar grade level 5 and hopefully even higher.
Target goal to improve is to get better at learning different genres of music.
Action to improve, 
  1. I will speak to a guitar teacher about trying to gain a grade 5.
  2. I will buy some books to help.
  3. I will watch online tutorials to help me improve on this target goal.

I have gotten better at the guitar by watching a few online tutorials like these ones below:





My target goal to improve was to get better at learning different genres of music and my guitar skills.  This target is achieved.  I have become much better thanks to practise, hard work and online videos.

3) Quick learner
I intend on improving this by trying to learn more things, or trying to learn new things to improve my own learning skills My action to improve is to try and learn something new at least every once a week.
Target goal is to improve on remembering long term what I’ve learned.

1) I am lazy



To improve on being lazy I could set myself certain times to do things, I could also set alarms and reminders on my phone so I don’t miss anything important.
My action to improve on this is to get up earlier every day and review over a certain period of time.
I will also get other people to review how I am doing.

I joined the gym - I feel I have more energy and this is make me more motivated.

I started playing Gaelic - this is making me more motivated, as the rest of the team need me to be there on time and I don't want to let them down.

This is still on-going as I still have some issues with getting up on time and making it to places on time.

I was told to watch some videos on motivation - I looked them up on youtube and found these very useful:





2) Bad time keeping skills



To improve on my bad time keeping skills I could get little sticky pages and stick them to a surface that I walk by regularly so I can see what I have to do. 

Also what I could do is set a reminder on my phone or computer to let me know I have something to do.
I will review this over a long period of time.

I created to-do lists so my time was organized a lot better.

I purchased sticky notes which have been helping me keep track of time better.  I have also used Google tasks to help me  keep track of what I need to do.  This is good as I get reminders every time and they are synched to my phone.

I have achieved this as I have purchased little sticky notes to help with my time keeping skills which has worked very well.  Google tasks has been a great help to improve time keeping skills and I know when everything is due so there is no excuses.
3) Lack of motivation



To improve on my lack of motivation I could try and watch more motivational videos, for example motivational books, or listen to music whilst working as this helps me to concentrate more and get more work done. 

I will review this again in 5-12 months as it is something that is going to take a long period of time to change.

I have read two motivational books.  This has really helped me become more motivated as it has given me good ideas on how become more motivated.

This is still on-going as I have still got a lack of motivation which I hope to improve on in the future.

Review of target:  I have become more motivated as at the start of the year I was not interested but towards the end of the year I became more motivated to complete all my work and get the pass.  This is achieved, but I know I will need to be even more motivated to do well in second year.  I will continue with my motivation all over the summer, so that I will be ready is September.
